THE PARTNERSHIP

ABO, a baseball bat company based in Tillsonburg, Ontario, approached us to help them grow their brand and online sales. They had originally put together an e-commerce website using Square but were limited to its out of box solutions.

We helped them continue to use Square as the back-end and built them a custom front-end with a build-a-bat functionality that is completely unique to their brand. Along with this, we also helped them create new branded merchandise to sell on their new website.

THE WEBSITE

Using their existing platform (Square) was key for ABO because it meant that they could continue to operate the back-end of their website like they always have. However, we completely revamped the front-end of their website with a new branded experience, including a build-a-bat feature that can create custom made-to-order baseball bats and reorganized their back-end to sync perfectly as one e-commerce ecosystem.

ABO MONOGRAM DESIGN

"A.B.O" is the initials each one of the owner's two children (Audrey and Brandon) and their family name, "Oaks". If you look carefully, the monogram in red has all three letters that make the monogram design whole.

ABO ALTERNATE MONOGRAM DESIGN

This alternate monogram design features visual nods to their establishment year and town name, Tillsonburge. Both of these are meaningful to the owner and also looks really good on a t-shirt too.

ABO DIAMOND GRAPHIC

This graphic pays homage to where baseball is played - the diamond. Each corner of the diamond has a subtle symbol to represent their proud roots of Ontario, Canada and their years of establishment.

RESPECT THE HUSTLE GRAPHIC

The owner, Trevor Oaks, lived by this mantra, "Respect the hustle." and it was only right to create a graphic to represent his hustle and grind in building his baseball business. The silhouette of the player holding up two bats in the background is inspired by a photo of Trevor himself when he first started ABO.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BATS

This design brings it all back to the main product that the company makes and sells - baseball bats. Using the baseball bats crossed creates a subtle visual nod to the baseball diamond and balances evenly with the rest of the design.
